Tiffany Style Hat, Shoe and Umbrella Stained Glass Lamp

This week I wanted to add a new piece we just found recently. The lamp is only from 2007 so it is a modern piece, but it was just so unique I had to get it.  We mostly deal with antiques, vintage, and collectibles, but part of the business is also dealing with modern pieces. It is a Tiffany Style stained glass lamp standing 24 inches tall.

What a great gift for a ladies bedroom, or anywhere in your home for a unique touch. The hat has curves and the bow is raised off of the brim. What does everyone else think of the piece?

Retro Table and Folding Chairs

This week I wanted to post something vintage. So I decided on this Retro table with four folding chairs. It also comes with one leaf for the table. The table and chairs are both from the 1950’s. The table is Formica and is in great condition. The metal edges around the table and the legs are made out of chrome. The chairs are foldable and look great with the table.

Now the chairs do not originally go with the table. We found the table first and had it for a while before we found these chairs.  When we found them we knew they would look amazing with it. Once we saw them together they were perfect. Now it’s a great set for a kitchen. What does everyone else think of how they look together?

Repurposed Bench Made From An Antique Single Bed

This week I wanted to share a bench we made from an old bed. The bed is an antique single bed from around the 1930’s or 1940’s. My mom made this beautiful piece mostly using the bed itself. This was her first attempt at trying this and I think she did a great job!

She used the headboard for the back and the footboard was cut in half and used for the sides. I helped her by holding each side steady and level as she mounted it to the headboard. Once that was finished she used all the side rails for the front and in making the seat. She used trim to finish the edges and upholstered the seat. My mom then painted the piece with this yellow cream color and once it dried she distressed it to give it a shabby chic look. The best part is she put wheels on it so it can be moved around easily. I think it looks really good and it is hard to believe she has never done this before. How do you all think it turned out?
